Glockenspiel
The three-part Harmonices Mundi also includes a modern glockenspiel, with 76 bells and 40 claves that can be struck to obtain various levels of sound. The largest bell, with a diameter of 79 cm, weighs 293 kilos, whilst the smallest one weighs around 3 kilos and has a diameter of 14 cm.
Swinging Bells
The instrument can be used to play not only individual tones but also entire songs and various types of music, including jazz - as became clear to the 600-or so visitors at the "Swinging Bells" glockenspiel concert on Festo’s premises in October 2004. Dutch virtuoso Gert Oldenbeuving and the Jazz Diamonds band inspired the audience with songs from the Beatles, Latin American rhythms and swing.

... was chosen for the inscription on the large, hourly chiming bell and translated into 29 languages. These are the languages of those countries abroad in which companies belonging to the Festo Group are located. The bell inscription is intended to express the links between the companies and the idea of harmonious collaboration.
