Cooperation in the field of industrial training and education
In 1994 Festo signed a cooperation agreement with the King Mongkut´s Institute of Technology North-Bangkok, KMIT-NB, to run a joint training center in industrial automation.
In 1995 an agreement was signed with the Siam Institute of Technology to train and develop personnel in the fields of pneumatics, hydraulics and industrial automation for both the vocational and industrial sector. Festo also participated at the Fifth German Technology Symposium at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok. The Thai German Institute (TGI) was founded with the goal of promoting technology transfer amongst Thai companies by means of professional training and further education.
In 1997 Festo signed a contract with the Department of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education DOVE for installing training rooms in 18 technical colleges throughout Thailand with pneumatic and hydraulic training equipment. Festo also cooperates with the Chitralada Vocational School providing learning systems and training for students.
In 1999 Festo participated at the Sixth German Thai Symposium (GTS) in Bangkok. Festo was honoured by the visit of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and of the Prime Minister H.E. Chuan Leekpai at the Festo booth.
In 2002 Festo initiated and sponsored the Mechatronic Innovative Contest 2002 (MIC´02) in cooporation with the King Mongkut´s Institute of Technology North-Bangkok and the Rajamangala Institute of Technology.
