Bionic Learning Network

Bionischer Handling-Assistent

The Bionic Learning Network – a cooperation between Festo and renowned universities, institutes and development companies – is an integral part of innovation processes in the learning company. Its projects reflect problem-solving competence, and as entirely new technological approaches they inspire dialogue with our customers regarding what is feasible and desirable for the future. The Bionic Learning Network also constitutes part of our commitment in the field of basic and advanced technical training. In this network, Festo promotes projects and experimental and technological prototypes that extend beyond its core competence of automation and didactics, and can perhaps open up interesting fields of application for the not too distant future. A major objective is to make automated movement even more efficient and productive by means of bionics.

The objectives:

  • Analysing market relevance in dialogue with customers
  • Transferring nature's strategy of efficiency to automation technology
  • Identifying new products and product ideas

  • Testing new technologies and manufacturing processes
  • Developing energy-efficient and biomechatronic products
