The SLME utilizes a fine pitch ball screw and recirculating ball bearing carriage to achieve high accuracy and repeatability. The steel U-shaped body has ground bearing races for the ball bearing carriage and ground mounting surfaces for the base and carriage to provide high positioning accuracy. Preloaded bearing and ball screw versions are available in the SLME23 and SLME30, providing a high repeatability of ±0.005 mm.
