Providing space for creativity
Festo’s architecture is an expression of its technological know-how, progressive corporate structures and ecological responsibility. Festo wants its employees to develop their creativity in a “Space for Ideas”. The TechnologyCenter in Esslingen is a prime example. At the company’s HQ, Festo’s innovative strength is given plenty of space to develop. The architectural design also encourages effective team work. Moreover, the TechnologyCenter is an outstanding model for energy-saving construction methods: for example, the low-energy house uses geothermal warming and cooling to regulate room temperature.
Green construction
Festo quality stands for technically mature designs and high-quality materials. Two aspects which are also reflected in Festo’s architecture. Festo’s holistic design also encompasses the energy efficiency of its buildings. A sail furling system at our Esslingen facility, for example, provides plenty of shade for our working environments. As of 2007, the building also boasts Europe’s largest solar-powered air conditioning system. The building combines intelligent environmental protection with elegance, good design and functionality. Festo’s corporate identity is reflected both in the shape of the building, as well as in the eco-friendly materials used in its construction.
