Adaptive, learning production systems are shaping the vision of the factory of the future. These focus on the way our customers see the aspects of efficiency: resources are to be conserved, setup times minimised and the increasing number of variants mastered with confidence. Festo is developing this vision and its success factors in cooperation with leading-edge users in various research projects.
Whether it be in cooperation with customers, research partners or companies in the automation industry – in various projects, Festo seeks answers to questions relating to the factory of the future and the requirements that are placed on automation.
Green Carbody Technologies
As a member of the “Green Carbody Technologies” innovation alliance, Festo is concentrating on methods and tools for optimising energy efficiency in body manufacture.
EMC²
In cooperation with Fiat, Siemens, Comau and selected universities, Festo examines key parameters for the resource and energy efficiency of factories and how it can be the most rapidly implemented.
