Browser Settings

If using Internet Explorer 6.0, error messages may be displayed at the start of the ordering process and when entering ordering information.
When this happens, a dialog box appears in the browser with the error message “Runtime error”. Microsoft describes this error on the website http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925418/en and provides an update to remedy it. To avoid this problem, please install the latest security updates for Internet Explorer 6.0.

Please activate cookies in Internet Explorer.

Follow these steps: 

1. In the menu bar, click on “Tools”.
2. Go to “Internet Options”.
3. You can adjust settings for cookies on the “Privacy” tab.
4. Click on the “Advanced” button.

Adjust the settings as shown below.

Please activate “Override automatic cookie handling” and “Accept" under “First-party Cookies”.

Pop-ups must be activated to enable a number of functions in the new Online Shop to work correctly.
You can either allow all pop-ups or define which ones you want to allow:

To enable pop-ups in general: 

1. In the menu bar, click on “Tools”.
2. Go to “Internet Options”.
3. On the "Privacy” tab you can deactivate the pop-up blocker by removing the tick mark for “Block pop-ups”.

If you do not want to deactivate the pop-up blocker, leave “Block pop-ups” ticked, click the “Settings” button and add the following webpages:

1.  www.festo.com

2.  face.festo.com

Please set JavaScript security to medium.
Follow these steps:

1. In the menu bar, click on “Tools”.
2. Go to “Internet Options”.
3. On the “Security” tab, you can customise the security level.

4. Under “Scripting” click on “Enable active scripting” as shown below.

You can check that automatic prompting for file downloading is activated in the same window as for the security settings.
If it is not, activate it as shown below. 

Please activate “Navigate sub-frames across different domains” for unrestricted display of product details in the catalogue and basket.

To do this follow the steps below: 

1. In the menu bar, click on “Tools”.
2. Go to “Internet Options”.
3. On the “Security” tab, you can customise the security level.

4. Click on the relevant box to enable “Navigate sub-frames across different domains”.

If you reset your password, please temporarily deactivate the “AutoComplete” option in Internet Explorer.

Please activate cookies in Firefox.

Follow these steps: 

1. In the menu bar, click on “Tools”.
2. Then go to “Options”.
3. You can adjust settings for cookies on the “Privacy” tab.
4. Tick the “Accept cookies” box.

You can either allow all pop-ups or define which ones you want to allow: 

1. In the menu bar, click on “Tools”.
2. Then go to “Options”.
3. You can remove the block on pop-up windows on the “Content” tab.
4. Click on the box to remove the tick mark.

If you do not want to lift the block on pop-ups in general, leave the “Block pop-up windows” box checked, go to “Permitted Sites” and allow the following sites:

1.  www.festo.com
2. face.festo.com

Please activate JavaScript in Firefox so that you can use all the Online Shop functions.

Follow these steps:

1. In the menu bar, click on “Tools”.
2. Then go to “Options”.
3. You can activate JavaScript on the “Content” tab.
