Considering all aspects of energy efficiency is an important part of sustainable and environmentally responsible management. Its strategic integration into our own activities is an ongoing task at Festo.
That is why Festo pursues a holistic approach, which involves innovative concepts for our own buildings and production sites just as much as products and solutions with improved energy consumption. This enables us to support our customers in finding energy-efficient solutions for automation tasks.
This holistic approach, which Festo regards as a permanent ongoing task, is characterised by five core elements:
- Energy efficiency for products and solutions – from research and development through to the reduction of air and electricity consumption in operation
- Energy efficient design and construction of plant and systems
- “Energy efficiency live” supports the operation of machines and systems at the customer's premises through services such as energy monitoring
- Research and development of technologies which can be used to further increase energy efficiency
- Increased energy efficiency at Festo sites and production plants through innovative concepts such as fuel cells and solar cells
