Innovative design enhances ease of operation, safety and energy efficiency
On 2 March 2010, Festo received the product design award 2010 for five new products. In addition to design quality, the visualisation of intended use and the product’s ergonomics, other aspects assessed by the jury include finishing and the degree of innovation. Festo attaches great importance to energy efficiency: all components were optimised with regard to size and weight, conserving resources in production as well as minimising energy costs incurred by the products in operation. All Festo’s 30,000 standard products for pneumatic and electric automation technology feature clear, ergonomic and functional design and are fully aligned with the company’s Corporate Design policy – enabling flexible use in over 200 sectors, such as the automotive, food and packaging industries, biotechnology or solar energy.
