2. Festo footprint Sustainability can be divided into three areas: economy, ecology and social issues. A balance between these areas is important for sustainable development. In a globalised economy, companies must take responsibility for this balance, both in their own foot- print and that of their suppliers. Festo faces up to this responsi- bility and represents this attitude along the entire value chain. Through our involvement in various networks and initiatives, we communicate openly with a wide range of stakeholders and partners and are clearly committed to the defined standards and guidelines.
