How is the training content for the Festo LX portal created?
Our instructional designers develop new training content in close collaboration with industry and automation experts from the Festo Group. This brings together industrial expertise and educational know-how in the learning content available in Festo LX.
By combining learning systems, practical content, and software elements, we create learning experiences that connect technical knowledge with real-world applications.
We also continuously expand the content together with external organizations. For example, Festo has worked with the precision measurement specialist Mahr to develop courses that reflect industry-relevant competencies and requirements.

What if I want to use my own training content?
If you already have existing training content that you would like to use, you can either upload it as a SCORM import or convert it into learning nuggets and courses in Festo LX using the LX Creator, our online authoring tool.
To make importing via the LX Creator quick and efficient, content should be available in PowerPoint, Word, or PDF format. You can also upload your own videos and images.
Is all learning content in Festo LX developed by Festo?
Yes. Learning content in Festo LX is developed either by Festo or in collaboration with other organizations.
Festo LX also offers third-party content that can be purchased separately in addition to a Festo LX subscription. This includes, for example, content on battery production from the European Battery Alliance (EBA).
What if I already have a learning management system?
If you already use your own learning management system, Festo LX Premium is the right option for you. You can continue using the functions of Festo LX while integrating learning content into your existing LMS.
Festo LX Premium supports LTI 1.3, SCORM 2004 (preferred), and SCORM 1.2. Different business models are available for Education and Industry.

Yes. Festo LX can automatically issue certificates for completed learning paths developed by Festo Didactic. Once a student has completed all parts of a learning path, a certificate of completion is created automatically and saved in Festo LX. Students can download the certificate as a PDF. Festo LX currently provides no certificate for self-created learning paths.
