Research project ABILITY

Holistic capability for hybrid value creation

The combination of goods and services into hybrid service bundles leads to new forms of value creation: the product becomes the material support for a wide range of services. This allows customized solutions to be provided for individual customer requirements, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty to be increased, and new business areas to be opened up for companies.

This is usually achieved through company networks and is supported by intelligent technologies and networking options. However, this poses major challenges for companies: new hybrid business models and cooperation in complex networks have an impact on existing processes and trigger change processes.

Project objectives

Transferable tools and models for a humane design and organization of work in these new value creation systems are to be developed in the ABILITY research project's funding area, "Working in hybrid value creation systems". This includes, for example, enabling employees to work in digitally connected corporate networks and in changing relationships between companies and customers.
