Our eLearning courses are interactively designed learning content, usually using a storytelling approach, with a narrator guiding you through the course. These courses are particularly suitable as an introduction to new topics and provide a high-level overview. Best of all, you only need a tablet, laptop or smartphone with an Internet connection to complete the courses.

Our eLab courses offer a wide range of hardware-related learning content, taught either through the use of Festo Didactic equipment or simulation software. The courses include multiple exercises selected by an instructor based on required learning outcomes. Our associated training systems are required to complete the courses. Our eLab courses are designed to put previously learned theoretical knowledge to the test with practical tasks.

Our eTheory courses offer a wide range of hardware-independent training content on technical topics. Compared to eLearning courses, they usually convey a broader range of knowledge.

Our evaluations are used to check the students’ prior knowledge or their progress on a particular topic. A predefined questionnaire is used for this purpose, which must be completed in a certain amount of time and requires a certain number of correctly answered questions to pass. These values are set by the instructors to adjust the difficulty level accordingly.

Our simulations guide the students to carry out practical and safe experiments that have no impact on real processes. The simulations offer a cost-effective supplement to the learning process as there is no need to purchase additional learning equipment.

In our tutorial videos, experts present complex topics in a simple way. In the videos, current topics within the scope of technical training are explained in an easily comprehensible and practical manner, which enables fast and effective learning.

Our instructional designers develop new learning content in close cooperation with leading industry and automation experts from the Festo Group. In this way, our learning content on Festo LX combines industrial and didactic expertise. By combining innovative learning systems, practical content and software elements, we create a comprehensive and engaging learning journey for our users.

We are also continuously developing the content available on Festo LX in collaboration with our valued partners. For example, we have worked with renowned organizations such as Mahr to create courses that are closely aligned with the skills and requirements demanded by the industry.

If you already have a lot of existing learning content that you would like to use, you can either upload it as a SCORM import or convert it into learning nuggets and courses on Festo LX using the online authoring tool, LX Creator. For a fast and efficient transfer, the content should be available in PowerPoint, Word or PDF format for import via the LX Creator.

If you already have your own learning platform, Festo LX Content Integration is the right solution for you. Festo LX courses can be made available on your learning platform via Festo LX Content Integration. Please note that only the selected content will be integrated into the existing learning platform – you will not be able to access the functions of Festo LX (e.g. customizing existing content or creating your own content).

1) Visit https://lx.festo.com/sign-up and create a free account (if you already have an account, please continue with step 3)

2) Enter your account information and click "Create account". You will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your e-mail address. Please do so.

3) Log onto Festo LX.

4) Once you are logged on, click "Manage licenses" in the bottom left corner.

5) Click "Redeem voucher" in the top right corner.

6) You have now activated the functions and content associated with this voucher. You can view the information about your subscription by clicking the product name.

7) You are now the administrator of your organization. You can start using Festo LX. Here are some suggested steps to get started with Festo LX.

• Click the "Organization" menu and edit the information about your organization.
• From the same menu, you send invitations to the members of your organization.
• Members can be other administrators, teachers, and students.
• Assign the appropriate roles to the new members.
• Please note that a member can have several roles.
• "Admin" allows you to invite new members and manage the account.
• "Teacher" can create groups, create content, manage learners, and assign content to them.
• "Learners" have no role and can work on the courses assigned by a "teacher".
• "Teachers" can now search for content via the "Search" menu.
• "Teachers" can add content to their courses (their own library of courses).
• "Teachers" can create groups of students and assign content to them via the 'Groups' menu.

8) After you have redeemed your voucher, you must change your access authorizations. First click "Organization" in the main menu on the left. Then click the blue "Members" button on the right to see the members assigned to your organization in Festo LX.

9) Select yourself by clicking the three-dot icon on the right in the corresponding line and make sure that you activate the "Teacher" authorization. You should now be able to access paid content with your demo voucher.

Choose the correct licence for effective learning: Festo LX offers different license models that are specially tailored to educational institutions (Festo LX for Education) and industrial companies (Festo LX for Industry). Both Festo LX for Education and Festo LX for Industry offer access to a comprehensive range of diverse learning content and helpful features.

If you are only interested in certain content, you can choose a license for a restricted content package (e.g. Festo LX for Education in STEM), which still allows you to use all Festo LX features.

If you purchase the Festo LX for Education license or the Festo LX for Industry license, you have access to all Festo content.

If you purchase the Festo LX for Education in STEM license or a Festo LX Partner Content license, you will have access to limited content related to the specific topic.

With Festo LX Single Sign-On (available with Festo LX for Education and Festo LX for Industry), your employees can log onto Festo LX with their existing company account and do not need to create an additional account.

Many of the course contents are specially tailored to Festo Didactic's hardware learning systems and contain exercises that can be completed in a practical way on the miniature learning factories or training packages.
