ELGD-BS – the new generation of electric ball screw axes in Normal version
The ball screw axis ELGD-BS with internal double-sided recirculating ball bearing guide and the drive with recirculating ball screw is protected by a permanently magnetic stainless steel cover strip. The portfolio includes 6 Normal versions from 30 to 160 mm width and starts with the main sizes 60/80. Further sizes will follow in 2024. Already available are a maximum stroke of 2.5 m and two slide lengths.

Normal (ELGD-BS): square profile cross-section with optimized design
Wide (ELGD-BS-WD): reduced profile height for smaller installation dimensions and more compact handling systems

- 30% lighter: stiffness and load capacity nevertheless similar to the axis with normal profile width
- Overall height reduced by 30%: Feed forces nevertheless similar to axis with normal profile height

5. Optimized profile design for best force flow and torque absorption

- Inductive proximity switch SIES-8M as NC/NO contact with switching output PNP and NPN in protection class IP67
- Simple mounting without additional mounting material of up to 2 sensors in the profile groove
- Flush mounting without interfering edges outside the drive cross-section
- Sensors can easily be added or repositioned at a later date
7. Freely selectable motor positions
- Motor mounting options: axial or parallel
- Axial: motor can be mounted rotated in 4 x 90° around its own axis
- Parallel: mounting kit can be mounted in 3 x 90° and motor can be rotated in 3 x 90° around its own axis
- Axis can be ordered with motor mounted on the right (MR) or on the left (ML) (MR/ML defines the position of the motor in relation to the connections of the central lubrication on the slide)

The ELGD axis family with spindle and toothed belt drives in various sizes in Normal and Wide versions performs a wide range of tasks in electromechanical automation technology.
