A key feature of this technology is the genuine servo operation with field weakening function. This improves the performance of the motor, resulting in precise control and quiet operation. Another highlight is the use of absolute encoders. These can be used either as single or multi-turn versions and do not require a battery. This eliminates the need for regular maintenance and battery replacement. Connection is simplified by the OCP (One Cable Plug) hybrid cable from Festo. This technology enables a common motor and connection cable for the supply and the encoder. This simplifies cabling and saves space. An additional feature is the "electronic rating plate". This contains a motor correction table that enables precise control. By using this table, the motor can be optimally adjusted to achieve the desired performance. The motor shaft has degree of protection IP40, while the motor housing including connection technology has degree of protection IP65.
