Festo was pleased to host the Food Manufacturing Engineering Group (FMEG) seminar yesterday at our Northampton premises.
The event was aimed at those involved in Food manufacturing / Engineering wanting to find out what exciting developments are taking place in this sector and the audience were a mixture of End Users, OEM’s, Universities and industry suppliers.
Over 25 delegates attended the event and it was also nice to hear them praising the high standard of our facility and friendliness of the people they encountered.
Mike Dudbridge - University of Lincoln who presented on education, training and professional development in food engineering
Catherine Wright - National Skills Academy for Food and Drink - gave an update on an Engineering degree for Food and Drink Manufacturing.
Simon Baty – Biosciences Knowledge Transfer Network - who discussed funding initiatives on offer for innovation
Theresa Ekong – Defra - who updated the audience on the Food Chain R&D program
Professor John Gray – Salford University - John presented an update on the European sponsored automated packaging food project involving a multi European collaboration team
