Kingsthorpe College visit Festo

Kingsthorpe College visit Festo

We welcomed 24 children from year 10 to Festo headquarters in Northampton on Friday 14th June. From an initial cold start to the world of engineering they were soon enjoying participating in some engineering workshops and the opportunity to work the exhibition equipment always goes down really well.

A presentation on our latest future bionic concepts also whet their appetites and by the time John Hodges had enthused about his time as an apprentice with Festo we had some budding future engineers on their way home. Exhausting events but always very enjoyable for all involved.

Festo are firmly committed to inspiring and developing young engineers for the future. This encompasses support of local schools, colleges and universities within a variety of programs and events.

The STEM network is a government funded organisation that creates opportunities to inspire young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. As STEM Ambassadors Festo are able to offer visits incoporating exhibition room tours & workshops for up to 24 people at a time.
