Festo's Andrew Macpherson and Chanda Patel attended the Dairy event hosted by Reaseheath College at their Food Centre in Cheshire.
The focus of the event was to showcase the latest industry product innovations specifically for Cheese makers, diary and ingredient manufacturers. On the day there were over 65 visitors ranging from the Co-Op, Marks & Spencer, Arla Foods, Mullers Dairys, First Milk.
Andrew Macpherson, Festo Industry Sector Manager for Food & Beverage commented. "This was a well organised and innovative way for us to showcase Festo’s learning from nature (Bionic Learning Network) program and how this is influencing our product development. We showed a short video featuring the SmartBird and the new BionicOpter and also had working examples of the adaptive gripper, so people could see how these developments are working their way into our problem solving products. There was a great deal of interest in our handling and positioning and Reaseheath did an excellent job in organising the event in a real food manufacturing environment."
