Redmoor High School Academy Trust visit Festo
On the 6th December Festo welcomed 15 students to its Northampton headquarters. It was clear from the start that this group were bristling with budding engineers and had been given a good grounding on STEM subjects by their school. Some had even taken the time to check Festo out on the web and came armed with some searching questions about engineering career opportunities in automation.
Festo did not disappoint with a mixture of hands on workshops and chances to interact with the latest technologies during the visit. The students were also taken through some of our research processes based on Bio-mimicry and enjoyed seeing the development of Festo’s unique Smartbird and Bionic Opter concepts.
Festo are firmly committed to inspiring and developing young engineers for the future. This encompasses support of local schools, colleges and universities within a variety of programs and events.
The STEM network is a government funded organization that creates opportunities to inspire young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. As STEM Ambassadors Festo are able to offer visits incorporating exhibition room tours & workshops for up to 24 people at a time.
