We currently have an opportunity to join our Sales Team as a Business Development Consultant in the Indirect sector working with our distribution partners. This role will be responsible for developing and managing the relationship between Festo and our customers in order to maximise and secure the profitable sales of Festo’s products and services so as to achieve or exceed sales targets in line with company plans.
In order to be considered for this role, you will have either an Engineering Apprenticeship or ONC/HNC in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering as a minimum, an ability to demonstrate success in a relevant external sales role and a good track record in the management and development of accounts in the distribution market.
The role’s focus will be split between market attack and relationship management, supply chain and/or key account management experience would be advantageous but is not essential. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to hold competent business discussions at all levels, be computer literate, work well as part of a team, be a strong relationship builder and use a consultative approach to selling.
This is a national position so candidates must be able to drive long distances and stay away from home overnight if required, candidates would be ideally located in the Midlands due to the current account portfolio. The role is home based therefore circumstances must allow the ability to function effectively from a home based office environment.
