Festo hosts first updated interactive Machine Safety Seminar of 2017

15/3/17

The Machinery Safety Alliance have redesigned the seminar to have a mixture of presentations and interactive problem solving workshops, ensuring the energy of the delegates is maintained and that the whole day adds value. A more inclusive and interactive element has been added to enhance the presentations but they of course still focus on all the latest regulations and updates to the key issues of machinery safety.

Festo hosted the first seminar of 2017 on 14 March at its Applied Automation Centre in Northampton and it was very well attended. Other members of the Machinery Safety Alliance involved are Pilz, Fortress Interlocks and Troax. Comments from delegates included: ‘Well organised’ and ‘Liked the new approach of interactive workshops of safety problems and presentations mixed’.

Topics covered in the seminar:
• Interactive safety implementation
• Do you know how to risk assess?
• Can you determine the correct PL?
• Can you select the correct guarding?
• Can you specify the correct guard switch?
• Are your pneumatics safe?
• Test your knowledge with our presenters
