We currently have a number of Business Development Consultant opportunities in our sales teams as a result of internal movement, promotion and strategic growth plans. Our Business Development Consultant roles develop and manage the relationship between Festo and designated accounts in order to maximise and secure the profitable sales of our products and services.
Our BDC roles are all home based and are national roles therefore personal circumstances must allow for national travel, some overnight stays and the ability to function effectively from a home based office.
Business Development Consultant – Automotive Manufacturing Industry & Special Purpose Machinery (Code BDC AMI &SPM)
The Business Development Consultant AMI & SPM role is working as part of a team of eight sales professionals, with a particular focus on growth in the area – therefore we are looking for someone who can demonstrate that they are tenacious and enjoy looking for and succeeding in winning new business.
In order to be considered for this role, you will have a qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline or be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of engineering through relevant work experience. Candidates must be able to demonstrate success in a previous sales role preferably in an applicable industry, sales experience in the fluid power industry would be advantageous but is not essential. In this role applicants must be able to show that they are results driven, able to work using their own initiative and that they have the ability to communicate well at all levels.
The portfolio of accounts for this role is situated predominantly on the South Coast, therefore the candidate will ideally be located in the South East of England.
Business Development Consultant – Indirect Sales (Code BDC Ind)
This Business Development Consultant role in our Indirect team of five is expected to deliver accelerated growth and therefore we are looking specifically for someone who enjoys and has the ability to open doors and generate new business whilst staying motivated.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be qualified to ONC/ HNC in mechanical/ electrical engineering (or equivalent). You will have previous external sales experience and a proven track record in the management and development of accounts in the distribution market. Experience of working within supply chain management or for a large Distributor or Manufacturer would be an advantage.
In addition to this you will have a good standard of computer literacy and strong interpersonal/communication skills. Ideally candidates for this role will be located within the PE postcode area or in surrounding areas as this is central to the portfolio of accounts being developed.
Business Development Consultant – Electric Light Assembly (Code BDC ELA)
In order to be considered for this role, you must have the minimum of an ONC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent and be able to demonstrate success in a previous external sales role in a relevant industry. Knowledge and experience of replicating OEM’s and special purpose Machine Builders with emphasis towards automation solutions incorporating electrical / mechanical drives, PLC programming knowledge would be advantageous as would previous experience of working for a manufacturer but is not essential.
The portfolio of accounts for this role is situated predominantly in the PE, CB, IP, NR, CM postcodes, therefore the candidate will ideally be located in the East of England/Cambridgeshire area.
Business Development Consultant – Medlab (Code BDC Med)
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you must have the minimum of an ONC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent and be able to demonstrate success in a previous external sales role with experience of working in automation in a relevant industry. Experience of working in the Medlab or Life Sciences market would be an advantage but is not essential.
The area that we are looking to develop is the South East of England/Cambridgeshire therefore candidates would ideally be located within this region.
