Students from Manor School visit Festo


We were pleased to welcome pupils from Manor School recently to our Northampton head quarters. They are all studying STEM subjects and volunteered for the trip as they were keen to see what an automation company does. They were excited by the dynamic displays in our exhibition rooms and enjoyed presentations on our Bionic R&D concepts. More...

Festo will be showing their CPX-IOT Gateway and MyDashboards at the Smart Factory Expo at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre on the 14th and 15th November 2018. The hardware and software combination provides easy connectivity to the Festo cloud. Harrison Pearce, a London based sculptor, specialises in creating large-scale kinetic sculptural installations.  When he called Festo to ask if we could help him specify some parts we happily worked with him.  The sculpture called ‘Defence cascade 2018’ is at the Marvellous Mechanical Museum at Compton Verney, Warwickshire and moves in time with a specialised commissioned piece of music. We were pleased to welcome students from Silverstone UTC recently to our Northampton head quarters. They are all studying their Level 3 extended diploma BTEC Engineering and keen to see what an automation company does. It was the clear the group was bristling with budding engineers and they had been given a good grounding on STEM subjects. Some came armed with some searching questions about engineering career opportunities in automation. More...
