An eye on the entire process sequence:

from feeding, identifying and checking specimen carriers to moving, opening and closing test tubes and test carriers to feeding liquids at Festo we can support you with designing your laboratory processes.

Everything from a single source:

from concept creation and joint development to delivery of subsystems

고객의 목표: 재현 가능한 실험실 프로세스를 보다 비용 효율적으로 시행

Festo의 솔루션: 매우 민감한 샘플이나 용액을 핸들링하고 이송하기 위한 정밀한 핸들링 시스템

    Planar surface gantry EXCM

Mini planar surface gantry EXCM

Always reliable when anything needs to be moved on the X- and Y-axis, e.g. test holders such as micro well plates

The small planar surface gantry EXCM comes in two sizes:

EXCM-10 designed especially for smaller applications

EXCM-30 with an open workspace underneath, e.g. for reading bar codes.

Pre-analytical process

Process for preparing and distributing samples prior to analysis

    Pre-analytical process

Process steps:

  • Preparation for collecting the sample from the patient
  • Transport of samples
  • Handling processes in the laboratory: preparing samples (centrifugation), identifying samples (bar code) and evaluating samples (quality)
    Centrifugation

Example: loading and unloading centrifuge hangers evenly

Centrifuge hangers and micro well plates in laboratory centrifuges must be evenly loaded and unloaded.

Ready-to-install handling systems with standard electric axes ensure reliable and precise loading of centrifuges. Solid and liquid blood components are separated in the centrifuges.

    Analytical process

Process steps:

  • Pipetting
  • Dispensing
  • Metering
  • Suctioning
    Microtitre plate

Example: precise metering of fluids in micro well plates

The metering head must be precisely positioned and lowered during the metering process. Next, the required sample amount must be precisely distributed on the sample holder.

The planar surface gantry EXCM-30 positions the micro well plate,

the electric slide EGSK, as the Z-axis, moves the pipettes up and down for metering and suction,

valves VODA ensure the correct amount of liquid.

Post-analytical process

    Post-analytical process

Phases after analysis:

  • Archiving for follow-up tests
  • Sample evaluation and interpretation
  • Storage
