During the assembly of battery modules and battery packs, there is a high risk of system downtime due to the many consecutive joining and assembly processes. This may be caused by a shortage of parts being fed into the process, maintenance work or the replacement of wearing parts. Independent stations are therefore used instead of line concepts with fixed process chains in order to increase machine availability. We offer a complete portfolio for the decentralised control architecture that this would require, from high-performance controllers to pneumatic and electric actuators and intelligent sensors.
With our high-performance control and automation system CPX-E, you can design complex applications with a high degree of motion as decentralised modules at the various stations. Firstly, this enables the specific processes to operate independently and, secondly, it means that you can use the resources this frees up on the main PLC for data gathering and analysis.
