SDAT-MHS
The piston position must always be sensed with repeat accuracy, whether for monitoring the processes for screwing in, riveting, ultrasonic welding, pressing and clamping or for object detection. There is now a cost-effective alternative to expensive displacement encoder systems or mechanical potentiometers: the programmable SDAT-MHS for analogue feedback
The 5 sensing ranges of the position transmitter correspond to the most frequent strokes of Festo cylinders. The SDAT-MHS senses complete strokes without the length protruding beyond the cylinders. Conversely, its sensing range is also no shorter than the stroke. A welcome effect is that the SDAT-MHS senses the complete stroke lengths, including the end positions. Additional proximity switches are superfluous.
Analogue current or analogue voltage output, switching output and IO-Link are combined in one device. Users can thus benefit from maximum flexibility in their choice of signal processing with just one controller.
A simple graphical user interface allows up to 4 channels to be programmed separately as proximity switches, window comparators or hysteresis comparators in IO-Link mode. This means that almost all applications can be operated without having to program the analogue output in the PLC.
