The complete series of linear axes with internal guides comes

in many variants with toothed belt or spindle drive for impressive

dynamic response, speed and power, while the different guides

ensure it can be used in a multitude of applications. The ELGA is

available as an individual axis or as a complete solution for

standard handling systems.

In many applications, the flow of air or other gases must be controlled.
Oxygen is becoming increasingly important, not just in the
life sciences sector, but also in food and biotech. The gas must
always be precisely dosed, whether it is used to control protective
gases in production or for breathing air in medical devices. And
meeting the high demands on reliability and performance is just as
important as cost efficiency. The new VEMD does both: it offers high
dynamic response and is very favourably priced.

Its size makes it ideal in tight spaces and it comes complete with vacuum functions. It is used in medical devices as well as for liquid handling in laboratory automation.

The open pipetting system for the easy transport of liquids fits your
needs as it is very easy to configure and extremely flexible. The system
is compatible with a range of tip sizes, which are highly resistant
to chemicals and suitable for a wide range of different viscosities.
Even minute volumes as small as 1 μl can be pipetted with the
greatest precision.

The decentralised pressure and vacuum generator PGVA only requires
a 24 V power supply to provide compressed air for your pressure- or
vacuum-assisted solution. This makes it perfect for your laboratory
processes, for example when handling liquids during dosing, pipetting
medical samples or using a dispense head.

In mobile applications, e.g. portable oxygen generators, the emphasis is on minimal energy consumption and low weight. At the same time devices should offer high reliability and resistance to the stresses of everyday operation. Piezo technology is one of several key technologies offered by Festo.

The most compact rotary gripping module in its class is ideal for handling small objects in a wide variety of applications. With wipe-down surfaces and a number of features in a clean, compact design, the EHMD is particularly suitable for laboratory automation and the easy opening of a large range of bottles and vials.

Miniaturisation is an important trend in many laboratory applications. The multi-axis gantry EXCL developed by Festo has a small footprint and PCB-based motion controls precisely to save valuable space when designing systems and devices. The functionality of the system can be further extended with two independently traversable Z-axes.

In mobile applications, for example oxygen therapy, the emphasis is on minimal power consumption, low weight and high reliability. The proportional valve VEMP is ideal for these requirements.

This lightweight cartridge valve is compact at just 15 mm and has a large flow rate of up to 210 l/min at 2 bar. The compact design and high flow rate of the proportional solenoid valve VPWS make it the optimal choice for use in medical technology. It is also suitable for other application areas and industry segments in which gas flows of 5 l/min to 500 l/min at up to 6 bar have to be regulated.
