The VEAA and VEAB feature an innovative drive component – a piezo bender. These valves offer high-precision flow control at up to 20 l/min. – with low hysteresis, high repeat accuracy and low energy consumption. The proportional characteristics of a piezo bender with direct actuation ensure stable and reliable regulation – and a stepless pressure rise. Especially interesting for many industry segments is that the VEAA and VEAB operate entirely silently.

The new VPWI is based on the VPPI and can be used for all applications where volume control is required. It offers extremely short operating times, a stable valve position and extensive functionality, from setpoint adjustment to an
MFC-like function, making the VPWI extremely fl exible in use.

This lightweight cartridge valve is compact at just 15 mm and has a large flow rate of up to 210 l/min at 2 bar. The compact design and high flow rate of the proportional solenoid valve VPWS make it the optimal choice for use in medical technology. It is also suitable for other application areas and industry segments in which gas flows of 5 l/min to 500 l/min at up to 6 bar have to be regulated.

To help future dentists and dental assistants deal with children during dental treatments, the Japanese company tmsuk has developed a humanoid robot that realistically simulates the behaviour of young children during these treatments, complete with fidgeting, flinching or closing the mouth. The dummy’s realistic movements are produced using proportional pressure regulators with piezo technology.
