Whether a device supports a connection type can be seen from the colour of the connectors in the topology editor è Festo Automation Suite Help. The supported connection type for multi-protocol devices may also depend on the parameterisation.
The parameterisation for CMMT-...-MP is preset accordingly when the device is inserted from the corresponding bus section in the device catalogue.

Connecting device to a controller as a slave

Connect the device as a slave to a Festo controller è Online help of the Festo Automation Suite.
The slave device appears as a child device in the navigation tree of the ‘Programming’ context of the controller (master device).
The slave device is automatically integrated into the control program on connection with the open-loop control (master device).
The slave device can be activated under the name specified in the Festo Automation Suite in the CODESYS extension of the Festo Automation Suite.
CODESYS device settings of the slave device
If the slave device is double-clicked in the navigation tree of the ‘Programming’ context, the CODESYS device settings can be made for the slave device.
The CODESYS device settings can also be set in the slave device plug-in. The settings are then automatically hidden in the plug-in of the master device.
The device settings can be displayed again by double-clicking on the slave device in the navigation tree. The settings are then automatically hidden in the plug-in of the slave device.
