On the ‘Process Data’ panel in the ‘Parameterization’ context the ‘Force All’ and ‘Unforce All’ buttons influence the channels of the following modules:
-
All channels of the individual module with CPX-AP-I.
-
All channels of all modules of a terminal with CPX-AP-A.
The force values and the mask are read out cyclically as long as there is a connection with the device.

When forcing signals, the corresponding signal is ignored by the controller and the device-internal force mechanism is applied.
Channel values can only be forced if there is a connection with the device.
Forcing is only supported for output channels.
For input channels, ‘--’ is written to the cells for the prepared values and the cells are disabled. IO-Link modules are not yet supported.
-
Click the ‘Connect’ button in the connection control.
After the connection is established, the additional ‘Prepared Value’ column is displayed in the process data table.
-
Enter the default values for the channel values in column ‘Prepared Value’:
-
Change Boolean values to ‘True’ with a single click in the empty cell or to ‘False’ with a second click. A third click deletes the prepared value again; the signal of the relevant channel then remains unchanged with the next force command.
-
Enter analogue values using the keyboard.
-
-
Click on the ‘Force All’ button.
The prepared values, with the exception of the values with the content ‘--’, are forced and displayed in the column ‘Current Value’ accordingly.
Cancelling forcing for all channels

Forcing can only be cancelled if there is a connection with the device.
-
Click the ‘Unforce All’ button.
The channel values are reset to the values specified by the controller.
