The connection control elements are the same in every context and every plug-in.

The ‘Connect’ and ‘Disconnect’ buttons always refer to the complete system in the remote I/O system CPX-AP. The plug-in instances of the connected CPX-AP modules then display their connection status in the Topology Editor.

The AP address with connected CPX-AP modules is also displayed behind the connection address, e.g. 192.168.0.1/3 for the AP module with AP address 3.

Connection status

The connection status between the plug-in and the device is displayed by the following symbols:

Device status

If there is a connection to the device, the device status is displayed by the following symbols:

Displaying details of the device status symbol

The pop-up contains a description of the current device status, the error number and the ‘Show details’ button.

Communication ports

The plug-in uses the following communication ports. If you have problems with remote access, configure the communication ports correctly in the router and set the IP address of the target device manually in the connection control of the plug-in.
