Depending on the environment, the right sidebar displays the following tabs for a connected device:

Module catalogue
The ‘Module Catalog’ opens in the right sidebar when configuring a remote I/O system if a module is not selected. Additional modules can be selected and inserted into the system from the module catalogue, ⮫ Add module from module catalogue.
The first level of the module catalogue shows the available categories. A click on the category lists the modules available there. Only modules that can be used in the current terminal are displayed.
Clicking the ‘Add Module’ button adds the selected module to the terminal.
Device properties
The ‘Device Details’ register displays the following information for a device selected in ‘Topology Editor’:

Device details, e.g. module name, connection route, connections

Documents and files from the Support Portal on the Festo website, e.g. operating instructions, application notes, device description files
An Internet connection is required to download documents. Files that have previously been downloaded can be accessed without a connection to the device.

Selection of device-specific files and documents
The module addresses of the modules that are connected to a bus interface are displayed at the bottom of the relevant module graphic in ‘Topology Editor’. If the topology of the remote I/O system is changed, the module addresses are automatically updated. The addresses facilitate the configuration of AP-based systems in development environments of other manufacturers that do not support branched structures for field devices but instead expect a linear list of modules. The modules must then be inserted in ascending order of their addresses, regardless of the string to which they are physically connected.
Watchlist
The monitoring list shows the current parameter assignment of the device description (APDD); the parameters are shown in black text, the values in blue.
If the device is not yet connected, initial values are displayed as device details. If the device is already connected, the data read from the device are saved together with the project and displayed whether the device is connected or not.
Documents and files for Festo devices can be downloaded and displayed for support with the ‘Open Document’ button. Files that have already been downloaded can be accessed even without a connection to the device.
Virtual assistant
The ‘Virtual Assistant’ register in the right sidebar provides access to the Festo virtual assistant. After logging into the MyFesto account, the virtual assistant in the form of a chatbot provides information on products and their installation, assembly, maintenance and fault clearance.
