Open the backstage section of the Festo Automation Suite. The search field in ‘Repositories’ can be used to search and add IODD files from the Internet in the IODDfinder. A local IODD file can be installed in ‘Repositories’ with the ‘Install Local File’ function. Local IODD files are stored on the computer in C:\Devices\IOLink. After installation the data and icons of the device are available in the topology editor. |

‘Write Process Data’ Updates the parameter values cyclically at specified times. If the plug-in is connected to a device, the plug-in automatically ensures that the data remain synchronised. Entries by the user are immediately transferred to the device on exit from an input field or when the [Enter] key is pressed. |

‘Block-Write Mode’ When activated, current parameter values are simply transferred by clicking the ‘Synchronize’ button. When deactivated, parameter values are transferred automatically and cyclically. |
