A device can be added to the repository as an IODD file and added to the project via the IODD file.

Open the backstage section in the Festo Automation Suite.

Open the ‘Repositories’ function.

In the ‘Repositories’ view select the ‘IO-Link IODDs’ entry.

Enter the name of the device manufacturer or device in the search field.
If you are connected to the internet, the search will start automatically.

In the search results navigate to the appropriate IODD file, select it and click ‘Install’. Alternatively, install all IODD files in the search results.
The selected IODD files and the corresponding devices will be installed.
An IODD file from a local file system can also be installed via ‘Install Local File’ and thus added to the repository, see ⮫ Installing IODD.
