You've solved every task, one way or another. But there's no need to reinvent the wheel every time. That's why Festo offers system assemblies for large quantities. Our complete modules are specially designed in line with your requirements; they are pre-assembled and ready to install, with matching accessories and the highest level of quality. This enables you to reach your goal more quickly and easily. Our product portfolio comprises around 33,000 individual components. We pre-assemble them into functional units according to your individual requirements, so you can integrate them directly into your system. This works even when combining pneumatics and electrics, even with components from third-party suppliers.
You can quickly and efficiently integrate pre-assembled modules into your system as subsystems, regardless of whether you need valve blocks, components for compressed air preparation, cylinder-valve combinations, etc. The assembly is tested and ready to install on delivery, and includes documentation, mounting components and all the connections. You provide the specifications and we take care of everything for you, from design to system assembly, with our full service for machine building.
With the 3D product configurator, you can create modules quickly, accurately and intuitively in your CAD format using Festo products. This ensures that components and accessories all match. You can then order the created module with a single order code, either completely pre-assembled or as individual parts in one box, including documentation. This significantly shortens your parts list. Downstream processes such as product orders, logistics and assembly become much simpler.
Whether you're looking for a manually operated process valve, a unit with a pilot valve and sensor box or with a positioner, the configurator will find the right solution in just a few steps, with correctly configured CAD data and documentation that you can download straightaway. That's how you get a perfectly compatible and ready-to-install module. This reduces the time needed for assembly.

Already have the process valve?
You can also select an actuator unit without angle seat fitting for automating existing process valves. Just enter the required parameters in the configurator’s input menu and the configurator suggests the right actuator units for you.
If your individual requirements go beyond the configuration options in our catalogue, we can also provide you with customised service units.
The flat and rugged housing protects service unit components from contamination and mechanical damage, and not just in the food and beverage industry.
The connection point for compressed air tubing and electrical cables is located in the base of the box.

Festo modules can combine pneumatic and electric components to create a wide variety of functional units, for example service units with valve terminals and sensors.
Function blocks with drilled ducts are useful wherever only a small number of pneumatic components need to be installed in a small installation space. With this design, all compressed air connections are integrated into the housing. Compressed air tubing and screw fittings for connections are no longer required in the module.
Integrate functions with cartridge solutions
In addition, functional elements such as vacuum or valve cartridges can also be integrated into the duct structure. Cartridges are highly compact and can be installed (almost) anywhere.

Application-specific gripper systems, which are mounted as a front unit on the robot arm, pick up the workpiece securely and hold it even in the event of an emergency stop.
Do you need a complex module that is customised, designed and built for your application? Take advantage of the many years of experience and expertise of our specialists and describe your project requirements to us. If required, our specialists can also integrate third-party components and mount the module on a support plate.
Together with BYTEC Medizintechnik GmbH, Festo developed a compact valve control block consisting of proportional, piezo and quick-acting valves for the QUBE pro system for eye surgery. Using so-called integration technology, a manifold duct plate was created which integrates all the pneumatic connections for a protected, tubeless supply. This allowed for various upstream volumes and silencers to be "integrated" as well, saving 50% on size.
Harald Pauls, developer of the QUBE: "Approaching the technical limits can only be done by searching for new solutions and by collaborating as partners." This means involving specialists from a great variety of disciplines, such as physicians, physicists and chemists. "And it is important for us to have automation technology suppliers who can bring a product like the QUBE pro to series production together with us, step by step, interactively and with short reaction times," says Pauls.
In the multi-needle sewing machines from sewing machine factory Emil Stutznäcker GmbH + Co. KG , the new cylinder/valve combination with ASI bus technology and integrated AND gate enables fast, fully automatic changeover of the needle configuration. The elaborate tubing of the past is now replaced by a single ribbon cable. The cylinder/valve combinations are simply linked with pin connectors, and automatically integrated into the master/slave system of the ASI bus.
