Throughout the school year Festo STEM Ambassadors offer local schools and colleges the opportunity to bring students to visit their site at Brackmills Industrial Estate in Northampton to see automation technology in action.
During term time, two sessions are offered per month (on the same day usually a Thursday), 9.30am - 12.00pm or 12.30pm - 3.00pm for a maximum of 18 students per session plus accompanying staff.
Students listen to short presentations, watch innovative videos explaining typical industries and cutting-edge technologies Festo are involved with and have a tour of the exhibition room to see automation in action. Students have the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops building pneumatics circuits. Workshops are adapted according to the age of students (Year 7 through to Year 13) and light refreshments are provided.
LEBC manage the bookings for these experiences on behalf of Festo, please contact LEBC to book your place: contactus@leics-ebc.org.uk
