Provide impetus at the interface between business administration and technology, as part of Festo’s Global Purchasing Network. Take on the task of supplying our company with production materials, commodities, investment goods and services. Our network consists of our Global Purchasing Headquarters in Germany, plus the international Festo Purchasing Units in Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Germany, India, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary and the USA – plenty of scope for your new interface role in purchasing for Festo.
That’s your job
We offer you a diverse range of activities in international and interdepartmental teams, with optimal support right from the outset. You are responsible for the ongoing optimisation of supplier management in order to ensure supply to the company. You work in a key interface role between business administration and technology, always keeping an eye on costs, quality and availability.
What we want from you
You have done a first degree in a technically oriented subject such as industrial engineering or mechanical engineering. Ideally you also have professional experience in purchasing or quality control. Your strengths include excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, persuasiveness, assertiveness and negotiation skills.
These are topped off by a willingness to travel, intercultural skills, fluent business English and proficiency with MS Office and SAP.

As a key account manager, you act as a relationship manager within our international network. You open up new doors and are the first point of contact for our foremost customers, who come from a wide range of different industry segments, from the automotive industry to food processing, and from biotech pharmaceuticals to the chemical industry. You are always keen to ensure that your customers receive the best advice and make the right decisions. In essence, your actions set the scene for our success. In turn, we provide the very best innovations.
What we want from you
You have a good degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering, and have already proven your technical and business understanding. You have international experience as a key account manager and are able to immerse yourself in a wide range of sectors quickly. Your strengths include entrepreneurial thinking and action, a strategic approach and negotiation and communication skills. To top these off, you exhibit great intercultural skills, fluent business English, virtual team and employee management, and a proactive approach to work.
