Today's and tomorrow's mechatronics technicians face a variety of challenges in their professional environment. Our comprehensive training programme, consisting of hardware, software and courseware modules, is based on an extensive analysis of current and future skills requirements for mechatronics technicians and related job profiles; it helps training officers optimally prepare students for current requirements in industry.
All training content is available on our digital learning portal Festo Learning Experience. That means students can access their learning modules at any time, wherever they are.

Various learning formats are used on LX to make lessons as effective and varied as possible. Festo LX provides a wide range of options for presenting and teaching training content:
In our tutorial videos, experts present complex topics in a straightforward way. The videos provide easy-to-understand and practical explanations of those topics that fit in with the technical training, enabling fast and effective learning.
The training content of our eLearning courses is designed to be interactive and usually has a storytelling approach with a speaker who guides students through the course. These courses are particularly well suited as an introduction to new topics and provide a high-level overview. Best of all, you only need a tablet, laptop or smartphone with an Internet connection to complete the courses.
Our eLab courses offer a wide range of hardware-related training content, which is taught either using Festo Didactic devices or simulation software. The courses include several exercises that are specifically selected by a teacher depending on the required learning outcomes. Our associated training systems are required to complete the courses. Our eLab courses are designed to put previously learned theoretical knowledge to the test with practical tasks.
Our guides contain detailed tutorials on commissioning or troubleshooting. Detailed guides contain especially valuable recommendations for using the digital courses on Festo LX in individual lessons.
Our evaluations are used to check the students' prior knowledge or their progress on a particular topic. This is done using a catalogue with predefined questions. These must be completed in a certain amount of time and a specific number of questions must be answered correctly in order to pass. These values are set by the teachers and adjusted to the level of difficulty as required.
The mechatronics curriculum is based on two predefined learning paths – Fundamentals of Metalworking (1) and Fundamentals of Automation (2). In addition, teachers can choose from a wide range of Industry 4.0-relevant technology (3) and infrastructure topics (4) to design their individual teaching path.
