Assistant Manager Sales - Electric Automation
Working in the Sales field together with the Sales engineers “Automation” in a team selling process in order to grow the Electric Drives /MMS business in his sales region Provide Technical support, quotations, BOMs, CAD, design of handling solutions to support the sales process.
Your job
- Responsible for the sales growth of ED in his sales region
- Responsible for the systematic customer handling and the active selling of Electric Drives components, Electric Drives applications and Handling Systems in a sales region.
- Requirement: frequent presence on customer site and high technical competence.
- Close relationship to the Sales engineers “Automation” (Team Selling)
- Analyze and identify customer ED requirements and provide solutions
- Winning of new customers for Electric Drives and Handling Systems by preparing of solution packages and presentations of the Festo Electric Drives possibilities and abilities
- Participation in Trade show exhibitions, roadshows and customer events
- Technical support for questions coming from Sales
- Providing solutions in concept phases
- Providing detailed design of Handling Systems and Electric Drives applications
- Support in 3D – CAD
- Selecting of 3rd party material
- Coordination of Electric Drives Projects and Handling Projects
- Providing of Quotations and BOMs
- Calculation of cycle times
- Product training (as a part of the train the trainer concept)
Your qualification
- Technical – Degree / Diploma holder (Mechanical /Electrical/Electronics)
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Knowledge of Hindi & Local language is preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, AutoCAD.

CRM Key user
- Responsible for technical and tool process support for the users of CRM in the Sales Organization
- Trains new users, informs and trains users on changes to the tool, supports users with first level troubleshooting and questions, escalates through the proper channels for more advanced issues (e.g. bugs)
- Maintains the territories and organizational structure and adheres to the request process for tool access
- Engages with the global CRM Key user community to stay up-to-date on technical and process information, place any new requirements from the users to the global team and review requirements coming from other countries to see if they are also relevant for the own Sales organization
- Use data to analyze customer satisfaction and market research to identify the latest strategies to improve customer relationships
Opportunity Management (Process Driver)
- Ensures that Opportunity Management is being lived fully in the Sales Organization
- Trains new colleagues in Opportunity Management and ensures that all colleagues are aware of any changes to the process or tools that impact opportunities
- Monitors and analyses the funnel and process dashboards to ensure the process is being followed and the quality of the funnel is maintained
- Engages with the global Opportunity Drivers community to stay up-to-date on new developments and exchange best practices
YSAP
- Overall responsibility for YSAP (Yearly Sales target setting) process within the cluster
- Manage yearly Potential and Target planning for all K and I Accounts
- Coordinate the input of Sales Organization in a timely manner
- Train and support local colleagues regarding the planning process
- Perform quality checks of the data; and provide feedback to Sales Manager regarding the coherence and completeness of the YSAP information
- Keep the Customer Master Data information updated
- Align with HQ process owner regarding timeline, new requirements, and further development of the process/tool
Your qualification
- Graduation in Science, Business Administration, or relevant stream, Engineering might be an added advantage.
- Minimum 4-5 years of working experience in Sales Force (CRM), Marketing, Business Analytics
- Should have a strong understanding of the company’s offerings and be enthusiastic about promoting them without being too pushy
- Conceptual thinking, distinct customer orientation, goal-oriented action and entrepreneurial thinking
- High degree of initiative, persuasiveness, and collaborative skills
- Smart, Confident appearance and strong communication, interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel across India
