The operation of such a system in an electric vehicle places extremely high demands on the safety and reliability of the components used. In comparison, production lines with gantry systems have a footprint that is up to 20% smaller and need around 50% fewer drives, as only the degrees of freedom that are actually needed are integrated in the machine. This means that you can reduce your costs in the long term. You only pay for the functions you really need.
