The gripper OGGB offers a real alternative to vacuum suction grippers. Designed according to the Bernoulli principle, it quietly transports thin, flexible and pliable materials such as foil, paper or wood veneer. At the same time, it is fast, reliable and precise – qualities that are also required when handling highly sensitive wafers.
Compressed air, forced out through a tiny gap, creates a vacuum. It picks up the wafers smoothly and holds them reliably with hardly any contact. It is gentle on the material and yet safe and fast.
Minimal marks for maximum quality. With inlets made of polymer, the gripping process leaves no impressions, making deformations, residues on the surface, cell stress and shadows a thing of the past – and ensuring the solar cells can deliver an optimal performance. Elastomer stop surfaces for high lateral forces are also available.
The OGGB distributes pure compressed air over the surface of the wafer. The air flows out at high speed and creates a suction effect on the workpiece. This process is very quiet and extremely reliable, as dirt cannot get into the system. User-friendly, clean, gentle and reliable – that sums up the OGGB.
The low-contact gripper OGGB is particularly suitable for transporting solar cells and wafers, but can also be used for handling foil, glass, circuit boards or thin-film materials.
