For the third time in a row, Festo has been named a Preferred Supplier by the Bosch Group for the Standardised Pneumatic Devices material group. With this award, Bosch honours important suppliers for outstanding performance in the areas of innovation, quality and reliability.
Oliver Merle (Director Materials Management, Bosch Packaging Technology) and Malte Ihlenfeld (Director Corporate Sector Purchasing and Logistics, Maintenance, Repair and Operations, Robert Bosch GmbH) presented the award certificate to Dr Ansgar Kriwet (Member of the Management Board Sales at Festo) by saying: “Bosch aims to create sustainable business relations and mutual worldwide growth together with its best and most innovative suppliers. In particular, this includes criteria like global presence and innovative products and services.”
Festo has been such a partner for Bosch since 2015. “Festo’s activities in the digitalisation of industrial applications are very important for Bosch. The Festo Motion Terminal, which we use in a packaging machine as a development partner, is an important milestone”, adds Oliver Merle.
“What drives us is the high standards our customers set for our performance"“, replied Dr Ansgar Kriwet, adding: “This award is a constant reminder to us to keep proving our potential, especially in digital pneumatics and automation technology.”
The certificate was presented during a visit by purchasing managers from the Bosch Group to the Festo Technology Plant in Ostfildern-Scharnhausen.
