Installation and commissioning

Our qualified technicians will be on site to install the equipment, provide a brief introduction and ensure that your training systems are commissioned safely and quickly. This service is provided on demand at the site where the equipment will be used. It ensures that our products function properly and that your training sessions can get off to a quick start.

We recommend special product training sessions to achieve the maximum ROI for your organisation.

TeamViewer QuickSupport

To improve customer service, Festo uses software that allows our staff to view your screen via a secure internet connection. This can usually significantly the time it takes to solve a problem. This is done with the TeamViewer QuickSupport program.

Please prepare the TeamViewer session as follows:

  • Please make sure that the TeamViewer program has already been installed and started before the session. This saves valuable time that we want to use to help you.

  • When the program starts, you have to click on Accept in the pop-up window.
  • Please ensure that you have administrator rights to make changes on your device.
  • Please have your licence ticket or your order number ready to ensure you have the necessary information available right away.
  • Please ensure that the software has already been downloaded and that no additional waiting time is required for the download (unless downloading is the problem).
  • Our support representative will see when you have successfully connected (you do not need to read out the ID)

Product training

Our product training helps you to make the most of your new training system. During the training, our qualified trainers explain the equipment and the supplied courseware. They will clarify the basic theoretical concepts, how the individual modules work and how you complete the exercises as part of your teaching activities.

Our training sessions actively help to personalise the practical exercises and the students' learning experience. You will also learn from our trainers how other teachers present the training content.

REACh EC Regulation 1907/2006/EC (REACh)

These building blocks were used to comprehensively restructure the chemicals policy. REACh has been in force since June 2007 and regulates chemicals legislation in Europe. The aim is to protect people and the environment and to centrally record all information on chemical substances in Europe.

For the first time, chemicals legislation also covers substances in products. As a manufacturer of products, Festo is therefore obliged to inform if substances of very high concern (SVHC) should be part of Festo products.

After the REACh regulation came into force in June 2006, Festo AG & Co. KG started to regularly check the product range for SVHC. If there is more than 0.1% mass of a substance on the candidate list in one of our products, we will immediately comply with our duty to inform in accordance with Article 33 of the REACH regulation.

Information on SVHC (substances of very high concern) in products

The European Court of Justice precisely specified the definition of a product within the context of the REACh directive on the 10th of September, 2015. If the limit value of 0.1% by mass is exceeded for a substance of very high concern (SVHC) in an installed sub-product, the product in question must be registered in accordance with Art.33 (1) of the REACh directive regardless of the percentage-by-mass content of the overall product.
