Whether for loading and unloading printed circuit boards, marking, applying solder paste, sealing components or performing functional tests, we have the right products for these process steps in the assembly of printed circuit boards. Be prepared to be impressed and inspired by our solutions.
The magazine is moved and positioned precisely and cost-effectively at the beginning and end of the conveyor belt with the electric toothed belt axis ELGC-TB together with the servo drive CMMT-ST and the stepper motor EMMS-ST.
We offer both pneumatic and electric solutions for moving the panels or printed circuit boards from the magazine to the conveyor.
A pneumatic system can, for example, consist of a guided drive DFM or round cylinder DSNU, an individual valve VUVG, plastic tubing PUN-H, push-in fittings QS and an air preparation unit from the MS series:
Whereas an electric solution might look like this:
Electric mini slide EGSC in combination with the servo drive CMMT-ST and the stepper motor EMMS-ST:
For moving and positioning tools such as lasers, pressure stamps or suction grippers, which are used to place the label, we offer a wide range of axis systems (e.g. the EGC, ELGA, ELGC, EGSC series) for all performance requirements.
Our image processing systems capture corresponding data and ensure quality.
Our clamping modules EV, short-stroke cylinders ADN-S and compact cylinders DPDM are the perfect choice when panels or printed circuit boards need to be locked, clamped or secured during the process.
When the solder paste is applied to the stencil, the cartridge with the solder paste is emptied gently and precisely by a pneumatic cylinder such as the round cylinder DSNU or compact cylinder ADN. The system is controlled by a proportional pressure regulator VPPI or with an innovative Festo Motion Terminal VTEM.
A standard handling system from our Handling Guide Online moves the squeegee electrically. A system that has, for example, a mini slide DGST and the Motion Terminal VTEM or proportional pressure regulator VPPI controls the contact pressure of the squeegee. The components are optimally connected using push-in fittings QS and plastic tubing PUN-H.
In order to seal components with adhesive or protective coating, the dispensing head must be controlled quickly and precisely.
The electric ball screw axes ELGC-BS together with the new, perfectly matching servo motors EMMT-AS and the servo drive CMMT-AS are ideal for this task.
The system is controlled using the new, modular automation system CPX-E.
Depending on your requirements, we have two unique valve solutions for the pilot control of the dispensing valve:
Fast-switching valves MHA1 to MHA3 for fast switching cycles up to 400 Hz, high-precision and durable proportional pressure control valves VEAA or VEAB with piezo technology.
When the printed circuit boards undergo the final functional tests, it is important that the contacts to be tested are reached quickly and precisely. The jigs used during this process are best moved with pneumatic or electric linear slides such as DGC or EGC. The contacts for the in-circuit test are controlled in the test device by compact valves and moved using equally compact drives.
Handling Guide Online – designing handling systems
Configure the right handling system, from a single-axis solution to a 3D gantry, quickly and easily with the Handling Guide Online. You only need to enter the axis definition, payload, etc. and in just 20 minutes you will have a perfect ready-to-order system. We supply it together with CAD data and commissioning files, either ready to install or partially assembled.
