Festo places great value on trust and collaboration with strategic partners. By maintaining active network activities and dialogue with partners from business, science and politics, we can quickly pick up on new ideas from the global research environment.
Through targeted research collaborations and joint projects, Festo works with partners to develop future-oriented technologies and thus makes a decisive contribution to ensuring its position at the forefront of technology in the long term.
The dynamic developments in the various areas of technology enable new, forward-looking approaches. The complex technological questions mean that various specialists across different disciplines and organisations need to work together effectively.
Festo is committed to a research and innovation culture based on partnership. Together with network partners, we are exploring future perspectives and intelligent approaches, and thus also contribute to Germany’s position as a centre for technology.
In the platform, representatives from politics, associations and trade unions as well as from business and science, work together to shape the digital structural change in industry. Festo is involved in the platform’s steering committee and in working committees.

Opening up the innovation process beyond company boundaries (open innovation) expands a company’s own technological horizons. That is why Festo uses research collaboration as well as nationally and internationally funded joint projects. By transferring scientific knowledge to industrial applications, we are able to bring about pioneering innovations.
As a partner in joint projects, we can contribute not only our technical expertise and project management competence, but also our many years of experience in putting together project consortia, applying for project funding and dealing with the associated administration.
