Festo solution highlights

Micro Well Plate Washer

In the field of life science applications, a mere µ l level of dispense may cause detection errors, and the accuracy of liquid dosing and handling is crucial. As a medical device specifically designed for cleaning enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) plates, a plate washer is usually used in conjunction with an ELISA reader. Through repeated shaking and cleaning, it achieves the separation of bound and free phases during the ELISA process. Used to clean some residual substances detected by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) plate to ensure the accuracy of the test and improve the reliability of the test.

Application scenarios: Widely used in hospitals, blood stations, health and epidemic prevention stations, reagent factories, research laboratories, etc

Festo Solution:
The Festo Dispense Head VTOI achieves rapid cleaning of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) plate by rapidly moving a compact two axis system and a pressure/vacuum generator PGVA to generate a pressure or vacuum. The dispense head VTOI, PGVA, high-performance medium separated valve VYKA, and valve control module VAEM are perfectly matched, with only the need to set pressure and valve opening and closing time to achieve μ Level 1 dispense and siphoning. In addition to individual product components, Festo customization also provides customers with functional modules or overall solutions.

High throughput pipetting solution

The high-throughput intelligent pipetting system is composed of modules such as sample loading, sample information recognition, automatic capping, automatic pipetting, and automatic capping, which can achieve full automation. The testing personnel will have zero contact with the sample, effectively reducing the workload of preprocessing and avoiding personnel operational errors. The high-throughput intelligent pipetting system will greatly improve the sample processing speed.

Festo solution:

Two sets of three-axis cantilever systems were built using Festo standard electric axes, customized variable pitch modules, and compact Z-axis modules (17mm wide), equipped with Festo pipette DHOE and rotary gripping module EHMD, to achieve the entire sample pre-processing function.

Right three-axis cantilever system: Through the perfect combination of Festo standard electric axes EGC/ELGC/EGSC and servo motor/stepper motor, the sample tube cap is accurately positioned at high speed. Four compact rotary gripping modules EHMD are installed at the end of the Z-axis to enable simultaneous opening and closing of the caps for four sample tubes.

Left three-axis cantilever system: Through Festo standard electric axis EGC, customized variable pitch module, and 4 compact Z-axis combined with servo motor/stepper motor, it achieves rapid liquid suction and discharge of the pipette head. Installing 4 DHOE pipettes on customized variable distance modules and compact Z-axis can achieve equal distance and independent or simultaneous up and down movement of 4 pipettes for suction and drip functions.

This concept is a classic example of Festo's joint application in gas control, liquid control, and electric drive.

Compact gantry solution

Product application scenario:

In many fields of concern in the life science industry, it is necessary to achieve liquid handling as well as switch cover or deep hole plate transportation, requiring a compact multi axis gantry with multiple Y/Z axes and independent movement, without interference with each other. Festo compact gantry EXCL will be your best choice.

Festo solution:

The five-axis compact gantry EXCL and medium valve VYKA , rotary gripper module EHMD-50, pressure/vacuum generator PGVA, and valve control module VEAM are perfectly combined to achieve rapid transportation of μL-level droplets and deep well plates.

Ventilator air control module

Product application scenario:

In the field of medical equipment, every device sustains the life of patients. Minor performance fluctuations and equipment failures can have irreversible consequences. This is especially true for ventilators that come into direct contact with patients. The respiratory gas control module, as a key component inside the ventilator, not only accurately mixes multiple gases in proportion after primary decompression, but also ensures that the output gas pressure and flow rate meet the requirements of the human body. At the same time, the output end is equipped with flow and pressure sensors to detect the mixed gas pressure and flow rate, combined with two two-way solenoid valves, to ensure patient safety in emergency situations.

Festo solution:
The Festo mass flow controller MFC-VEMD outputs precise and stable airflow, and precisely controls the output air flow rate and pressure according to the set parameters through the proportional pressure valve VEAB and proportional flow valve VPWS. At the same time, the 2/2-way MHA1 can open and close the airflow of each gas channel at any time according to the output end detection signal, ensuring patient safety. In addition, Festo's customer solution department can provide customized solutions for customers.
