Data transfer and propagation

Data (either analogue or digital) can only be transferred over a specific communication medium, such as copper wires, wireless networks, waveguides or fibre-optic cables. Data transfer refers to the communication of data by transmission or propagation and to the processing of data in the form of electromagnetic waves or electric voltage. Our learning systems for data transfer and propagation teach the fundamentals of these technologies and thus provide a solid foundation for further studies.

  • Microwave devices and components are manufactured from electroless nickel-plated brass to standard X-band waveguide dimensions.
  • Waveguide flanges are precisely connected with quick connectors, enabling the rapid assembly and disassembly of system configurations.
  • A Gunn diode oscillator running at 10.525 GHz in continuous wave (CW) mode or amplitude modulated by a 1 kHz square-wave signal
  • A crystal detector, NTC thermistor and slotted line used with the Gunn oscillator power unit, power meter and SWR (standing wave ratio) meter
  • Antenna azimuth indicator
