Festo pursues a research and innovation culture based on partnership. Together with our network partners, we’re exploring future perspectives and intelligent approaches, thereby contributing to Germany’s position as a technology center.
As part of this platform, representatives from the worlds of politics, associations, and trade unions, as well as business and academia, are working together to shape the digital, structural transformation in industry. Festo is a member of the platform’s steering committee and working committees, among others. Festo is also active in GAIA-X and the Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA e.V.).
The VDMA Fluid Power trade association represents the interests of 200 German manufacturers of hydraulic, pneumatic, and sealing technology, and thus accounts for over 85 percent of the German market. It is also an important platform to share ideas and information. Festo is active on the board of VDMA Fluid Power and in precompetitive joint research through the Fluid Power Research Fund.
The cross-industry technology cluster focuses on microsystems technology. With over 360 partners, it is one of the largest networks in Europe. Festo is a network partner and active in various expert groups.
The European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA) is an industry association that promotes the development of new and innovative production technologies within the framework of the Made in Europe public-private partnership. Festo is active in the various association committees and is a highly sought-after discussion partner for the European Commission.
The ZVEI Automation Division is the platform for all companies in automation technology, industrial information and communications technology, and related industry-related services sectors in Germany. It promotes a dialogue between industry, politics, and society and represents the interests of the automation industry in Germany and worldwide. Festo is active on the ZVEI board as well as in various committees, including on the topic of modular production and digital engineering in cooperation with NAMUR – the international interest group for automation technology in the process industry.
