We develop products and systems for medical technology in close partnership with customers. The focus is on efficient regulation and control of medical gases and fluids. In addition to air solenoid valves, we often use proportional valves with piezo technology for these applications.
Products and engineering that can get you to market faster.
Festo works in close cooperation with you to develop your ideas into medical devices while saving development and validation time. Our products are well proven in medical devices, and can be customized to meet your specific needs.
What is stopping you from getting your ideas to market? Design? Manufacturing? FDA approval? Festo understands the challenges in front of you and has the extensive experience in medical technology to provide components and solutions that are cost-effective, safe, and ready-to-install.
We have standard products that are well established in existing medical devices, specific medical device designs designed to speed FDA approval, and offer engineering design, development and manufacturing done in an ISO 13485 quality environment.
Engineering and Research
Our ability to provide customized solutions comes from decades of in-depth collaboration with our clients. Whatever phase of development you’re in with your next generation medical device, you can always draw upon our product design and engineering expertise.
Festo’s Technical Engineering Center in Boston is a cutting edge research and development facility, staffed by a team of experts specializing in gas and fluid control, as well as sample handling. We’re on-hand and available to address your requirements in a targeted and individual manner, and we can do so right from the concept stage.
Optimal for medical technology: proportional valves with piezo technology
Piezo valves are suitable for controlling the pressure and flow rate of medical gases in mobile and patient-oriented applications because they are highly compact, silent and energy-saving. Thanks to the material properties of piezo ceramics, no energy is needed to maintain a constant flow, only to change the flow status. This prevents heat buildup.
Small and lightweight piezo valves regulate the gas flows and pressures that dispense oxygen in infinitely variable steps.
Proportional valves control flow rate and pressure.
Piezo valves, media valves, pneumatic valves and proportional pressure control valves regulate and control fluid flows from the blood and dialysate stream.
Pneumatic control unit consisting of air solenoid valves and piezo valves drive surgical tools, conveys liquids or suctions liquids with the aid of a vacuum.
Switching valves, proportional valves, pumps and compressors for regulating fluid and gas flows various independent treatment instruments.
Piezo valves actuate chambers individually to regulate gas flow or pressure, quietly and efficiently.
