Direct integration of servo drive controllers into host systems via Ethernet

Festo servo drives can be integrated directly into Ethernet-based control architectures from other manufacturers. The CMMT-AS servo drive controllers used in the example understand the Siemens controllers’ language and function like the manufacturer’s own servo drives – without any additional programming changes. This means that you do not have to learn a unique language for the servo drive, reducing your programming and setup effort through standardization.

Complete integration and standardization in host systems with EtherCAT

The entire machine architecture is perfectly compatible and enables seamless automation based on EtherCAT®, independent of the host system. It makes no difference whether electric or pneumatic systems are used, because the AP technology selected combines servo drive controllers, remote IO, and valve manifolds into a powerful total system.
